Doing business in Europe

Beeldmerk van VMCIDoing business in Europe

European market is different

The European market place is different from the North American market place, even after the introduction of the Euro as a single currency and the availability of the European Union, companies entering or expanding in Europe have to deal with topics like:

  • Multiple languages
  • Cultural differences from country to country
  • Multi-currency aspects
  • Labor law complexities
  • Differences in rewarding employees: compensation, benefits, pension, car allowances / company cars, etc
  • Varying recruitment best-practices from country to country

It is therefore crucial for companies who are entering, expanding or restructuring in Europe, or companies that are acquiring or divesting businesses or companies that form alliances and partnerships in Europe to take this into account and tailor their approach with the above in mind.

VMCI provides in this section additional information that can be useful for companies, their advisors, their partners or alliances. Furthermore additional knowledge and information from senior executives that have experienced the challenges and opportunies of working in Europe first hand will be added to this section on a regular basis.
